“Our Stories Matter” - story behind the message.
This message means so much to me because I let a very unkind person affect me deeply when she said my story was “no longer relevant”. It broke my heart after years of sharing our story to help build & encourage others. In those 12 years we founded Pink Warrior & we had raised 1/4 million dollars for breast cancer research. But I let her knock me so deeply that could no longer face putting my own health at risk if I my story no longer mattered.
I want to send a positive & encouraging message that “Our Stories DO Matter”, if it is your first day as a fighter & survivor or if you have been fighting 12 years or how many years. I don’t know what drives a person like that but PLEASE don’t let someone like that drive you down.
Your story matters and YOU matter!! You may never know who & how you can help someone else.
